ReSoft offers professional services and tools to inspect the content of messages as they pass through the internal network and on their way to the internet and to take an action, such as blocking delivery, for instance if the message contains inappropriate or proprietary information. Taking this a step further, tools are available to create sample sets of user messages triggered on specific content that allow the implementation of a formal inspection process to ensure potentially damaging messages are reviewed and any resultant action is documented.

A full one-third of security threats are generated from internal activity. Osterman Research classes this as the biggest messaging threat of all.... a user innocently downloads a threat from the web and emails it to a distribution list.... a laptop collects a threat from a traveling user and propagates when logged back into the network..... a disgruntled employee emails the latest customer list to their hotmail account before quitting. 

Reducing threats at time of delivery 

MIMEsweeper is our server-based email and pornography content filtering security tool. It is an all-in-one solution designed to provide email content security and up-to-date detailed management reports on inappropriate activity.  It filters Lotus Domino & Microsoft Exchange internal email as well as internet email systems such as Hotmail and AOL.

Akonix L7 is our Instant Messaging gateway that archives, content filters, adds disclaimers, manages attachments and enables IM anti-virus for public instant messaging clients including AOL AIM, MSN Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger. It also supports Microsoft Live Communication Server (LCS) and Lotus Sametime.
